At the Chair of Logistics Management, we have regularly offered the courses listed below in in the D-MTEC programs. The courses are also open for mobility students and students from other ETH departments and programs.

Strategic Supply Chain Management (363-0453-00)
The course offers an introduction to the theory and practice of supply chain management. Students learn how to develop supply chain strategies and supply chain networks based on firms’ competitive strategies and marketing priorities.
Purchasing and Supply Management (363-0452-00)
The course expands the study of supply chain management theory and practice. It delves into the upstream side of the supply chain. It also discusses current topics including digitalization, automation and AI in purchasing and supply management, as well as supplier innovation and the role of startup companies as suppliers.
Humanitarian Operations and Supply Chain Management (363-1129-00)
As both manmade and natural disasters are on the increase, the humanitarian sector has been growing accordingly. Because logistics typically comprises 70-80% of mission budgets, efficient operations and supply chain management are critical to maximizing impact. The course explores the emerging theory and best practices which address this need.
Sustainable Supply Chain Management (363-1048-00)
Sustainability risks are inherent in supply chain operations. The negative impact on society, the environment and individuals can be substantial. The course provides students with contemporary knowledge on supply chain sustainability risks as well as practices to mitigate such risks and manage supply chains more sustainably.
Supply Chain Risks (363-0454-00)
Supply chain disruptions have become more widespread and severe, and can result in severe losses in shareholder value, sales, production, and reputation for the firms involved. The course offers a broad introduction to this timely topic. Starting with a discussion of key concepts (risk, disruptions, risk sources, vulnerability), students are exposed to current issues in the field of supply chain risk analysis, management and monitoring.
Market-Driven Logistics Service Organizations (351-0408-00)
The course builds on the understanding that market-driven organizations strive to increase customer value and familiarizes students with strategies and processes (capabilities) for creating value for customers of logistics service organizations. It investigates logistics services, transportation and carrier management from an industry, market and customer perspective, and explores how to improve business operations in logistics service provision.
Quality Management (365-1035-00)
The course provides the underlying principles and techniques surrounding quality management with an emphasis on the application in manufacturing and services settings. Students learn to view quality from a variety of functional perspectives and develop a working knowledge of the best practices in quality and process management.
Lecture Cycle Purchasing (363-0345-01)
The goal of this lecture is to get an overview about the challenges of purchasing managers, get to know the procurement department as an important corporate function and to understand the importance of purchasing & supply management with regard to corporate success.
