Prof. Wagner once more finalist for prestigious JSCM Best Paper Award

His work on startup suppliers was recognized as a finalist for the 2021 Journal of Supply Chain Management (JSCM) Best Paper Award. The award was presented at the 2022 Academy of Management Meeting in Seattle. Prof. Dr. Stephan Wagner was already a finalist of the 2012 and 2014 awards, and winner of the 2019 award.

The editors emphasized that the selection committee valued that this novel study not only extends the supplier selection literature but provides fresh insights into the emerging field of new venture suppliers. The venue for the award ceremony was the 2022 Academy of Management Meeting in Seattle, Washington.

The Journal of Supply Chain Management is a flagship journal publishing empirical work on fundamental and contemporary topics related to supply chain management. With a Thomson-Reuters ISI Impact Factor impact factor of 8.025 (2021), the journal has been ranked either first or second for the past seven years among supply chain and operations management journals.

This award is another important recognition of the research excellence of the team at the Chair of Logistics Management at ETH Zurich.
