Thorsten Greil received the BVL Thesis Award 2018 for his master thesis on logistics start-ups
Thorsten Greil, a master thesis student at the Chair of Logistics Management, received the Thesis Award 2018 by the Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) e. V.

The BVL Thesis Award was created in 2010 to acknowledge “outstanding Bachelor, Master and degree theses”. Thorsten’s master thesis with the title “The Impact of Business-to-Business Logistics Start-ups on the Logistics Service Provider Industry” revolved around the relevant topic of innovation in logistics. At the core, the work focused on identifying interdependencies between logistics start-ups with established companies in the field of logistics services. Among other implications, a number of case interviews with both sides lead to the identification of new ventures being a viable source of innovation for incumbents in logistics.
