Tunca Tabaklar was a postdoctoral researcher at the HumOSCM Lab of the Chair of Logistics Management. He received his doctoral degree in Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility from Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research (HUMLOG) Institute at Hanken School of Economics, Finland. Tunca holds a Master’s Degree in Logistics Management from Izmir University of Economics. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting researcher at Jönköping International Business School in Sweden.

His research interests include supply chain resilience and scalability in humanitarian aid, humanitarian service triads and social innovation. During his stay at HUMLOG Institute, Tunca worked as a researcher for the Academy of Finland funded project “Resilience in Disaster Relief and Development Supply Chains”, and “Nutrition Surge Capacity” in Kenya. His doctoral studies were funded by several foundations including Academy of Finland, Marcus Wallenberg Foundation, and Foundation for Economic Education. He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher for a Research Council UK and TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) funded project “Innovating the Turkish Supply Chain for Services in Humanitarian Aid” at Koç University in Turkey. He taught several courses including logistics and supply chain management, management science, technology and operations management, and operations management in healthcare institutions.
