International group of researchers received IEEE Best Paper Award

At the 2012 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management which was held in Hong Kong, a group of international researchers consisting of Prof. Dr. Stephan M. Wagner, Allan N. Zhang and Bin Ma from the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, Mark Goh from NUS Business School, and Michael Terhorst from RWTH Aachen University received the Best Paper Award, which is the top award among nearly 1000 submissions. Their work “Quantifying Supply Chain Disruption Risk Using VaR” presents a novel disruption recovery model for measuring disruption risk using the Value at Risk (VaR) technique.
