Chair teams recognized as finalists for two best paper awards
During the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Vancouver, Canada, teams from the Chair of Logistics Management were recognized as finalists for two prestigious research awards.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Bode, Denis Hübner and Prof. Dr. Stephan Wagner were finalists for the Journal of Supply Chain Management 2014 Harold E. Fearon Best Paper Award with their article “Managing Financially Distressed Suppliers: An Exploratory Study”. Likewise, with their paper “Can Business Ventures Compete with Established Suppliers? An Investigation of the Liability of Newness in Supplier Selection” Constantin Brachtendorf, Prof. Dr. Christoph Bode and Prof. Dr. Stephan Wagner were finalist for the Academy of Management OM Division Chan K. Hahn Best Paper Award. These recognitions again underline that the research conducted at the Chair of Logistics Management is pioneering the field.
