Wagner was selected by the journal’s editorial team as the Outstanding Paper in the 2018 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. After 2017, this is the second time in a row, that a team from the Chair of Logistics Management received this prestigious award. The award was handed over by Aidan Morrison from Emerald Publishing during the EurOMA conference held at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).

According to Emerald, Outstanding Papers form the backbone of the Awards for Excellence, and the winning authors receive the prestige of their article being recognized as one of the most impressive pieces of work the judges have seen throughout the past year.
