In the newly released external page2019 SCM Journal ListTM university ranking,  the Swiss  Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) was again ranked among  the top-15 for empirically-focused supply chain management research out of over 400 institutions. The rank increased from 14 (in 2016), to 11 (in 2017), 10 (in 2018) to 9 (in 2019).

The SCM Journal ListTM ranking is an annual ranking of universities’ supply chain management research output, based on the leading supply chain management journals. Each year’s ranking is based on the research published in these journals during the prior five years.

Given that all top-ranked schools have larger SCM departments with numerous professors conducting empirical research in the field of supply chain management, it is noteworthy that the sole contributor to ETH Zurich’s ranking is Prof. Dr. Stephan M. Wagner and his team at the Chair of Logistics Management.
