HumOSCM Lab joins ETH4D initiative

As a next step of its expansion, the Humanitarian Operations and Supply Chain Management Lab (HumOSCM Lab) joined the ETH for Development (ETH4D) initiative. This will enable the HumOSCM Lab to have access and to contribute to the wider engineering, natural and social sciences resources of ETH Zurich in humanitarian development and poverty reduction.

ETH for Development (ETH4D) is an ETH Zurich-wide initiative that combines technological innovation with a profound understanding of people’s behavior and their environments to identify new solutions for improving the lives of poor people. ETH4D supports research, which combines the knowledge and skills of engineering, the natural and the social sciences and promotes the collaboration between scientific research, civil society, industry and policy. ETH4D can build on the interdisciplinary capabilities of various ETH Zurich research groups, including the HumOSCM Lab in the area of logistics and supply chain management.

With the experience in research and teaching in the field, the affiliation of Prof. Dr. Stephan Wagner and the members of the HumOSCM Lab strengthens the work of ETH4D in the areas of humanitarian operations, logistics and supply chain management.
