Led by Professor John Ioannidis from Stanford University, a team of scientists created a external pagedatabase of standardized citation metrics for both career-long and single year (2019) impact. Metrics with and without self-citations and ratio of citations to citing papers are given. The resulting analysis “external pageUpdated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” was published in the Public Library of Science Biology.

The study identified the top scholars among nearly eight million authors in 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. Prof. Dr. Stephan Wagner was identified among the top 2% in the scientific field of Economics & Business for his 2019 and his career-long impact.

The D-MTEC hosts three more professors among the top 2%, namely Prof. Dr. Peter Egger and Prof. Dr. Georg von Krogh (both also in the field of Economics & Business), and Prof. Dr. Didier Sornette (in the field of Physics & Astronomy).

Furthermore, five of the collaborators of the Chair of Logistics Management, namely Prof. Dr. Thomas Y. Choi (Arizona State University), Prof. Dr. Lisa Ellram (Miami University), Prof. Dr. Matthias Holweg (University of Oxford), Prof. Dr. Tobias Schoenherr (Michigan State University), and Prof. Dr. Nada Sanders (Northeastern University) are placed in the top 2% category.
