Alexander Lagrèze received Master Thesis Award from the SEW Eurodrive Foundation
Alexander Lagrèze, a recent graduate of the MSc ETH MTEC program wrote his master thesis under the supervision of the Chair of Logistics Management, for which he received a prestigious award from the SEW Eurodrive Foundation.
Alexander Lagrèze’s practice-based master thesis entitled “Towards Supply Chain Agility in the Luxury Goods Industry: The Case of a Swiss Watch Manufacturer” delivered a comprehensive assessment of the supply chain characteristics and performance at a luxury watchmaker. He focused on the effects of demand, supply, and process uncertainty upon the financial and service performance of the supply chain and applied concepts of product demand uncertainty to the luxury industry, where comparable studies are limited, and a specialized luxury supply chain model has not been established.
For the excellent thesis, he has been recognized with the “Studienpreis 2019” (Graduate Award) of the external pageSEW Eurodrive Foundation, an award that comes with a cash prize of €2.500. The thesis was overseen by Bublu Thakur-Weigold and Prof. Dr. Stephan Wagner. After graduation, Alexander Lagrèze was hired by the watchmaker which he supported with this thesis.
This is the second recipient from the Chair of Logistics Management, after the SEW Eurodrive Foundation rewarded the “Studienpreis 2015” to a master student of the chair.
