Successful POMS Conference in Washington DC
A team from the Chair of Logistics Management was actively involved in numerous activities at the Production and Operations Management (POMS) Annual Conference which was held May 2-6, 2019 in Washington DC.
Prof. Dr. Stephan M. Wagner organized the “Purchasing and Supplier Management” track for the overall external pagePOMS Annual Conferencecall_made, in which more than 60 talks or tutorials were presented. Furthermore, he presented on the topic of “Value Slippage and Interdependence in Buyer-Supplier Relationships”, on “Managing Entrepreneurial Suppliers” and held a tutorial on “Tutorial: Publishing Conceptual and Empirical Research in Purchasing and Supply Management”. Dr. Christoph Schmidt presented work on “Blockchain in Supply Chain Management – Transaction Costs and Technology Adoption”, Alexander Fink on “Exploring the Role of IP Protection in Asymmetric Buyer-Supplier Relationships”, Bublu Thakur-Weigold on “Procurement Strategies in Humanitarian Healthcare”, and Felix Bergmann on “Analyzing Joint Collection and Delivery Vehicle Routes in an Urban E-commerce Distribution System”.
